EP39: Justin Brooke: The Man with the “Ad Skills”

Justin Brooke isn't afraid to admit it: his life was going nowhere until he discovered the power of the internet. In 2007 he was an intern for Russell Brunson; though it was an unpaid internship, he was able to study Brunson's marketing library and receive what he calls “the education of a lifetime” while he wrote reviews on those marketing courses.

Justin put that education to work. One month, he paid only half of his electric bill. He took the money that would have gone to the electric company and created a $2/day ad campaign. At the end of the month, he had earned $150—enough to pay off the bill and give him the confidence to pursue a career in online marketing.

With his success, it's time to give back. Justin is proof that it's possible to create a real career this way, and he wants to teach others to do it. As the founder of AdSkills.com, he compiled his knowledge into the tools, courses, and tutorials anyone can use to become a media buyer.
